Summary:
Serves as confidential administrative assistant to the Director of Student Services, and as a facilitator to the school staff and public being served.
Provides support to maximize efficiency of the Student Services (District Administration) Office.
A.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
(other duties may be assigned) 1.
Communicates effectively and courteously with all contacts--internal and external.
2.
Works well with a diverse team of people.
3.
Meets all requirements for confidentiality and for the management of student information, finance and personnel information including secure filing and disposal, and records retention and storage.
4.
Maintains current knowledge of and complies with organizational policies and procedures.
5.
Meets all applicable safety requirements for the position and work environment including prompt injury reporting.
6.
Organizes workload throughout the day to meet project timelines and deadlines.
7.
Meets attendance and punctuality requirements; reports time and attendance accurately.

Assists in maintaining on-going databases (e.
g.
student information relevant to district goals and district-wide planning).
9.
Assists in production of data reports, posters and presentations as needed.
10.
Performs data entry, management, and cleaning.
11.
Verifies data for completeness and accuracy.
12.
Communicates with and/or respond to inquiries and requests.
13.
Monitors budget and maintains budget records.
14.
Supports the vision and goals Lyons Township High School District 204.
15.
Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualification Requirements:

Education and/or
Experience:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Two years of experience working in an office setting.
Strong knowledge and skills utilizing Google Suite (Drive, Email, Calendar), Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work efficiently.
Ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to changing environment.
Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening and understanding) including active listening skills to accomplish the tasks assigned.
Ability to accept feedback and apply it to work task improvement.
Familiarity with diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds with regards to health and cultural needs preferred.
E.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; and ability to speak effectively with administrators, staff, students and parents.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Uses critical thinking skills to create documents and spreadsheets and interpret information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to use Student Information System, Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint), Google Suite and Outlook.
High level of typing and transcription skills and public relations ability.
Ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies.
